Director, Global M.A.C Business Innovations
Description
The Director of M·A·C Business Innovations is responsible for the management of a portfolio of Global Business Innovation and Consumer Engagement projects. This role requires engagement with core internal Global and Regional brand departments, i.e. Marketing, Omni, Online, Field Sales, Artist Training & Development, CT& D, Store Design, Creative, Sales Operations, Finance and Human Resources in addition to Corporate Estee Lauder functions and their Global affiliates involved in technology initiatives. Global Information Services, Global Retail Channel, Indirect Procurement. This multi-faceted position includes the management of the Global Business Innovations team supporting all Retail Operating systems and Omni Initiatives.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. IT Project and Business Management in collaboration with all regions and markets to stabilize and improve process, speed to market and efficacy:
• IT Project Management Governance (Consumer facing & Field support)
• Support and assist in the prioritization of projects with ED, Global Retail Operations and SVP of MAC Retail Channel.
• Define a clear Road Map by managing the production and distribution of project timeline to all stakeholders.
• Schedule follow-up and conduct production meetings as required.
• Manage stakeholders’ contribution/participation to the development process
• Manage the ongoing projects graphic development with our Creative Team (Creative request submission and follow-up), this includes Creative and Specific visual merchandising initiatives.
• Participate in all selection and design of hardware and software
• Collaborate on Business solutions with all involved departments (Brand and Corporate)
2.Content Development, Management and Internal Communication (Brand and Corporate) for all innovation technology initiatives / Omni and Retail Operating solution:
• Collaborate with internal departments to identify need and build Brand Business Cases (GIS, GRC, Finance and Field/Field management.)
• Make sure that all business and capabilities requirements are met (internal Brand stakeholders and External Corporate functions)
• Collaborate with GIS to evaluate all ongoing ELC brand initiatives and report key learning.
• Validates the Content with our Internal HR department and Legal department if adequate.
• Organize Vendor meetings and site visits to continually seek new opportunities to drive technology innovation in our Retail store environment, understand competitive advantage.
• Liaise with heads of various M∙A∙C departments (Sales, AT&D, HR, Sales Admin, Visual Merchandising, M∙A∙C AIDS Fund, etc.) to ensure content needs are met and validate frames and feed with our Creative Team and Sales Operations team.
• Provide reporting and analysis of survey data. Identify modifications per business needs.
• Manage the ideation and creation of conceptual approaches for our upcoming and ongoing initiatives.
• Manage and contribute to content production with the vendor.
• Manage uploading and archiving of content to web server.
• Participate in Design online and onsite training experiences to help Retail Managers learn about the capabilities of our technology solutions.
• Set-up workshop and round tables to encourage and facilitate an environment of open and creative ideas.
• Oversee distribution of technology communications to all Global retail store locations.
• Liaise with appropriate M·A·C department representatives to develop strategies to best meet the needs.
• Manage contract negotiations and all aspects for the installation of hardware and software in collaboration with Retail Store Operation, software with clear deliverable timelines for MIMAC/ MMN/Fuel and Retail Operating solutions.
• R.O.S / Omni/ Corporate Online- Represent and participate in all required Business and Technical functional meetings with Executive Director Global Retail Operations.
• R.O.S / Omni / Corporate Online - participate in all testing and validation of ROS / Omni modules as the brand lead.
• R.O.S/ Omni/ Corporate Online-Communicate to Brand leadership the status of all project related details, timelines and budgets.
• Oversee all aspects of training to ensure adoption and successful end user experience. Collaboration with AT&D & CT & D, Human Resources and field management. Identify key change stakeholders and change agents.
• Validation of key project requirements delivery through UAT, change impact assessments and analytics.
• Manage all area of training in collaboration with CT&D to include Training Program Structure, budget, train delivery mechanism
• Provide post Project Analytics
• Provide status to include critical milestones and monitoring of all program opportunities and risks.
3.Budget Management and Accountabilities for Business Innovation projects and Department budget:
• Manage and adhere to confirmed fiscal year department budget.
• Create and manage Capital Budget for Ongoing and Upcoming projects approved by the Brand/Affiliate/ Region and GIS Finance
• Ensure the timely submission and accuracy of credit card statements, expense reports and company owned asset forms.
• Review and manage the tracking of expenditures in accordance with Departmental budgets on a quarterly basis with Finance Department.
• Help maintain security and control of training equipment within the premises.
• Set Clear expectations and targets on project development, management and delivery.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback on a regular basis to support employees on their job performance.
• Help provide an atmosphere that motivates, encourages and challenges staff on a regular basis.
• Provide a clear orientation for new employees.
• Complete interim and annual performance reviews for direct reports.
• Ensure consistent and proper communication both internally and externally.
• Ensure all relevant human resources records are kept updated and confidential.
• Recommend, and assist as required, employee termination (subject to approval Executive Director Global Operations and HR Dept).
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• University degree in related field.
• 8+ years of experience in related field.
• Superior communication, writing, customer service, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent knowledge of web portal-related and e-learning technologies.
• Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Mail, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to develop and manage budgets.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Travel (40%) – must be flexible and versatile
