Job Description
BUSINESS IMPACT STATEMENT
The Senior Marketing Analyst for Insights is top level analyst that is responsible for the identification and communication of business insights through the analysis of customer, sales, promotional, digital, and competitive data. This position is responsible for identifying business questions, extracting the data through relational databases or cloud platforms, analyzing and interrupting the data, and developing insights into stories to assist with business critical decisions.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Analysis Set Up
• Review standard and advanced ad hoc analysis requests from all levels of business partners for all customer, program, offer, and channel needs.
• Consult with leadership partners to identify primary and secondary business analyses and KPIs required to support critical business decisions.
• Develop end to end project timelines for analysis deliveries
Data Manipulation and Visualization
• Identify and collect primary and secondary data variables to holistically answer business questions
• Maintain a deep understanding of the structure and location of various data sources to be utilized
• Assist team members in analyses requiring advanced data pulls
• Independently pull and manipulate data to determine results and develop data visualizations into relevant conclusions
• Identify and set up processes for data quality checks
• Lead in the set up and data pull for analyzing various marketing programs including A/B Testing
Insight and Implication Development
• Review relevant data sets and analyses to develop detailed and informed insights and implications to inform strategy and decisions.
• Organize insights, data and visualizations into comprehensive stories for distribution to leadership partners in support internal business decisions.
Presentation & Knowledge Sharing
• Review analyses with manager and team members.
• Individually present completed analyses to leadership partners and follow up to ensure understanding of insight implications.
• Represent Analytics and Insights team when insights are part of cross-functional teams
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• Advanced SQL and/or SAS Skills
• Strong communication Skills
• Experience presenting complex data analyses to mid-level management and above.
• Experience with Tableau/Visualization Software Experience
Preferred
• Master’s Degree or equivalent
• R/Python programming skills
• Retail knowledge
