Overview
Foot Locker, Inc., the world's leading retailer of athletically inspired shoes and apparel, is seeking a Director, International Market Planning. The Director, International Market Planning is responsible for the development of insights to analyze Foot Locker’s real estate portfolio across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Middle-East to drive strategic planning. The role will require an advanced understanding of analytics with the ability to own and conduct complete business analyses including: end to end research, assessment, recommendation and implementation requirements for success. This role is responsible for analyzing existing real estate assets and evaluating new business opportunities. This person will provide an objective and analytical viewpoint of the market opportunities through ongoing situation analysis and understanding of market dynamics, consumer trends and competitive activities.

Responsibilities
• Optimize International positioning of the organization’s retail locations by analyzing the existing real estate portfolio and identifying future opportunities
• Provide leadership in designing and maintaining market and competitor information to support the organizations strategic, business planning including - demand and volume forecasting, competitive intelligence and market share, assessment of market trends & new market opportunities
• Plan, manage and support market research projects and activities related to strategic decision-making
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative studies including research briefs and reports, data analysis, executive summaries and recommendations
• Understanding and experience with omni-channel modeling, lifetime value modeling and loyalty programs
• Develop analytic models for evaluating new markets and new market opportunities using publicly available information and purchased data
• Strong background in analytics – including descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics
• Create presentations and business plans that provide financial justification for new ideas and opportunities
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments and executives on real estate and market planning projects and initiatives
• Responsible to build the tools and processes to track, measure, monitor and communicate financial and real estate KPIs, dashboards, budgets and ROI
• Broad working knowledge of real estate functions including Leasing, Design, and Construction required
• Managerial oversight of two direct reports
Qualifications
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Market planning or similar role
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• Demonstrated ability in conducting a variety of market research methodologies
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments with strict deadlines and minimal supervision
• High sense of urgency with demonstrated success in fast-paced environment
• Experience working on cross functional teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Knowledge of Construction/Design/Leasing industry practices
