Director In-Store Marketing - Tommy Hilfiger
RESPONSIBILITIES
In-Store Marketing Initiatives
Integrates and aligns messaging with the Windows Team
Conducts competitive reviews and tracks/maintains reference libraries
Collects pertinent product information from Merchandising and develops creative briefs and distribution plans.
Works with Creative to develop concepts/layouts. Facilitates reviews and secures approvals. Provides final art file approval for release to Marketing Production/Translation.
Works with the Marketing Production to finalize distribution lists and develop production estimates. Aligns production plan with the creative budget and approves final estimates.
Provides store specific direction for execution and placement. Collaborates as needed with Visual Presentation & the Windows team, Planning, Marketing and Brand Presentation Managers.
Provides content and works with Manager of Store Marketing Integration to communicate programs and updates to the Field.
Seasonal Program Updates
Works with Visual Presentation, The Windows Team, Brand Presentation and the Field to identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of seasonal programs. (E.g., Fab Frames, Window Graphics, Seasonal Graphics, Key Item Signage)
Provides distribution updates seasonally, and works with the Studio Director to develop production estimates. Aligns production plan with the creative budget and approves final estimates.
Promotional Cadence & Signage Libraries
Works with Marketing and Planning to ensure that the seasonal promo plan can be executed in stores. Develops new promo sign programs as required.
Directs new programs and custom signage for promo events and maintains and produces new additions to the Classic Interior and Window Sign libraries as required.
Develops Creative Briefs and Distribution Plans.
Works with Creative to develop concepts/layouts. Facilitates reviews and secures approvals with Merchandising and Planning. Provides final approval for release to Marketing Production/Translation.
Works with the Marketing Production to finalize distribution lists and develop production estimates. Aligns production plan with the creative budget and approves final estimates.
Develops Field communication and coordinates publishing with Manager of Store Marketing Integration.
Analyzes the effectiveness of custom signage annually and optimizes and manages the strategy and budget.
Works with Brand Presentation Managers and Visual Presentation & the Windows Team to plan and fulfill NSO requirements, and determination of promotional window sign holders.
Budget Management
Manages and maintains Creative Services Budget. Manages processing of In-Store Marketing program invoices, reconciles budget against actual and provides accruals monthly.
Works with Finance to make adjustments, clarify information upon request.
Seasonal Photoshoot Management
Integrates cross-functional team on seasonal design and development strategies, to align seasonal photo development timelines and support big ideas.
Creates photo shoot brief and manages cross-functional style out, look & fit approvals, photo selects and retouching processes.
Works with Brand Advertising to optimize and maintain budget and communicates potential overages
Publishes seasonal image/product information (with product details and marketing usage) for CFT & Field
Budgetary Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining (not exceeding) the annual Creative Budget; shifting allocations in order to optimize business effectiveness.
Decision Making
Responsible for evolving executional strategies in order to improve effectiveness and/or reduce costs.
Resourcefulness/Creativity
Research competitive direct (retail) and indirect markets (art & social media) to communicate innovative and brand aligned ideas for in-store marketing.
Environment
Responsible for working effectively in a fluid environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities. Some travel required in US and Canada.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: 8+ years work experience; with 3-5 years client-side with a fashion brand or retail company
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Skills:
Understanding of fashion retail marketing and graphic production
Strategic, with ability to represent marketing POV to influence outcomes
Strong presenter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Buttoned up, detail-orientation with strong organizational ability
Flexibility; able to accommodate shifting priorities
Financial management
MS Office – including Excel & MS Outlook
