As our Nike Sportswear Brand Manager, you'll help lead the creation and execution of category and seasonal initiatives for our company that drive brand strength, fuel consumer demand and strengthen our connection with consumers. You'll be the voice of the NYC consumer and protector of the brand. You'll maintain a close relationship with key consumer groups and work closely with Sports Marketing, Event Marketing, North America / Global Marketing teams to identify influencers and stay current on market trends. You'll help lead the development of strategic marketing plans and briefs, as well as complete the field-work/research needed for the plans. You'll be instrumental in the gathering of information, communication and progress on initiatives and in leading categorical and seasonal event execution that ensures excellence with functional groups. You'll contribute to the East team's development of strategy, implementation and evaluation of plans for the categories, seasonal marketing initiatives and to the definition of NSW marketing strategies that support the broader brand plan. You'll also support the Integrated Marketing process and assist in leading processes that enable timely and effective execution by cross-functional teams. In addition, you'll meet regularly with Finance to track expenses against each assigned budget and work closely with the Inventory Management and Promo Planning team to place product buys and ensure the timely product delivery and program execution.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline
• 5+ years' progressive management experience with a combination of corporate retail, visual merchandising, product merchandising, brand marketing and retail sales
• Experience developing cross-channel marketing campaigns in fashion, retail, lifestyle, youth marketing, entertainment, and/or tech fields
• Marketing experience targeted to a variety of different consumers with a strong understanding of cultural trends is preferred
• Familiarity and working experience with New York City is highly preferred
• Concrete experience managing complex projects, programs and activations that have heavy dependencies requiring strong leadership to align multiple teams and stakeholders
• Superior verbal and written communications skills
• A keen eye for design with creative passion
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is a way of life
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to help your team win
• Demonstrated ability to dive deep in understanding the product, our business, and the competitive landscape
• Proactive, solutions-oriented. Ready to jump in head first
• Ability to think strategically and ask the right, sometimes difficult questions
