External Job Description
The Junior Graphic Designer role supports the senior team members with all seasonal campaign projects from concept research to design execution. The candidate must have a strong passion for design, typography and photography. Daily responsibilities will include executing on creative briefs for both print and social media, working with designers and art directors on seasonal image-based campaigns, competitive research and production of approved design work.
Candidates should be passionate about fashion and be familiar with current design trends and best practices for both print and digital. Flexibility and an interest in creative collaboration between multidisciplinary teams will be essential to help support the brand’s creation of innovative multi-tiered campaigns. Critical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills will be required.
Key responsibilities include:
• Support the Creative Marketing team by executing design briefs including but not limited to: store signage, direct mail, social media and other marketing collateral.
• Pull Competitive and non-competitive design and photography research for campaign concepts and seasonal creative.
• Support Designers and Art Directors on the creation of campaign concepts, presentations (including mood boards & image presentations) and design studies.
• Print production of approved design work. Digital production experience a plus.
• Create templates, style sheets and libraries within InDesign.
• Complete pre and post production tasks for photo shoots; create photo direction deks, organize file transfers, create contact sheets.
• Create comps of marketing collateral as needed.
Requirements
Education:
• Graphic Design degree or equivalent experience required
Experience:
• 2-4 years of experience in graphic design
Skills:
• Advanced knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, Bridge and InDesign (must have experience preparing files for production)
• Understanding of color and color theory and it’s use in print production
• An understanding and passion for typography and image.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, have a strong attention to detail and meet deadlines
• Photo art direction skills are a plus
• High taste level and sophisticated, elevated eye for design.
