Description
As our Strategic Planning Director for Nike Asia Pacific and Latin America, you'll work directly with senior executive leadership and with the APLA strategy team to develop and execute Nike's brand and commercial strategy in this diverse and high-paced geography. You will work both independently and with the strategy team to lead cross-functional special project teams in support of the general management and the chief financial officer of APLA to help identify and evaluate critical strategic priorities and/or strategic problems, and to catalyze action against these priorities through strategic and long-range business planning and performance management. In addition, you will also assist in all corporate planning activities for the geography.
Among your responsibilities:
• Lead projects to evaluate critical strategic growth opportunities and/or strategic priorities, and develop recommendations and executable plans to catalyze action
• Lead quantitative and qualitative analytic work that unlocks business insights and drives sound decision-making on key business issues
• Lead portions of the strategic business planning process, including work towards the development of the 1 to 3+ year Strategic Plans
• Establish scorecard metrics to monitor the strategic plan and communicate progress and results
• Manage key strategic meetings, including the quarterly review cycles
• Develop high-impact presentations and communication tools to communicate strategic plans across the organization and to executive leadership
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred
• Minimum of 6-8 years total experience (3 years experience post MBA) in corporate development, business development, corporate strategic planning, investment banking, management consulting, finance or related fields
• Two additional years' experience in lieu of an advanced degree
• Previous management consulting experience at a top tier consulting firm is preferred
• Strategy development experience with global consumer enterprises and/or within finance or related function (including internal and/or consulting)
• Strategic Framing, Scoping and Problem Solving: Desire to get beyond the abstract and general to deliver rigorous, nuanced and actionable recommendations; Proven ability to deliver insightful data analysis & synthesis that uncovers opportunities
• Interpersonal/Influence: Experience aligning senior leaders and key stakeholders through excellent interpersonal skills, high EQ, and persuasion
• Financial/Quantitative Analysis: Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis and financial models
• Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and work with diverse, world-class talent that is empowered to bring the best of themselves to work every day
• Proven track record of being results-oriented with demonstrated ability to achieve aggressive goals
• Demonstrated experience managing teams within large cross functional projects
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at once
• Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
• Strong executive presence
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
