Job Description
Job Category: Coordinator; Wilkes - Barre
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
Job Responsibilities:
• Complete scheduling of all inbound loads including TL, LTL, Package, etc. Communicate with carriers on issues with inbound loads related to appointment compliance, overages, shortages, damages, etc.
• Communicate with carriers and vendors in order to get merchandise to the DC in a timely fashion
• Communicate with merchants about freight
• Answer questions about the routing guide or any other routing issues
• Build the daily forecast for the DC
• Keep track of projection and carrier accuracy
• Ability to collaboratively work in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task as well as cover other areas of team if needed
• Must have an ability to define problems and identify possible solutions.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
Qualifications
• Minimum of a high school education. Prefer candidate with some post-secondary education. 3-5 years of experience in a Receiving environment with emphasis in carrier relations and documentation.
• Possess articulate verbal and written communication skills. Communicates in a timely and appropriate manner to all levels.
• Demonstrate well-developed analytical and problem solving skill set.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good computer skills with an ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Dependable, work with a sense of urgency. Demonstrated past performance containing high energy and delivering positive results.
• Excellent organizational and efficiency skills.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm and be collaborative in a team environment to deliver positive business results.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time.
