Description
PR Manager, Global Communications
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support the Global Communications team in ideation, strategy, coordination and execution for new product launches and trends including: events, desksides and artist outreach, as well as implementing targeted pitches to long-lead and short-lead media.
• Manage all Global PR department forecasts and sample needs
• Act as liaison to the International Communications team to facilitate exchange of information for 360 degree launch planning - allocating samples, providing event and launch assets
• Work with North America and International Communications teams to develop alternative methods of visibility (outside product launches) to maximize opportunities for the brand.
• Day-to-day liaison to the Marketing, E-commerce, Social Media/Digital, Education and Creative team to foster a truly integrated approach toward the development and execution of brand activations.
• Lead and manage relationships with multiple vendors for all press/influencer activations and events.
• Leverage existing relationships with media (long-lead and short-lead) and tastemakers and their agencies, as well as continue to cultivate and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Create all PR and event recaps to be presented to the Global team and senior management.
• Manage all invoices, vendors contacts, and payments via SAP
• Partner with ED, PR on budget management and monthly reconciliation
• Develop and manage all press collateral, intranet posts and corporate requests
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
• B.A. degree in Communications or relevant major preferred
• 5+ years’ experience in public relations and event planning (traditional & digital)
• Strong writing, presentation, communications and time management skills as well as established excellent media relations
• Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to prioritize multiple projects
• Demonstrated skills in managing all details of complex events and ability to successfully adapt to the changing demands of live events
• Proven experience managing budgets and tracking/reporting financial results, sales, event attendance and other metrics.
• Experience negotiating contracts and maintaining vendor relationships
• Knowledge of prestige beauty industry and relevant beauty/lifestyle trends
