LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA (Office is located in Manhattan Beach)
THE PURPOSE:
As the Email Marketing Manager, you are a technical marketer with a passion for engaging consumers in the right place, at the right time, and with the right message. You will have strong commercial instincts, with a passion for data-driven decision making. You thrive in a culture that encourages you to continuously develop hypotheses, test, learn, and adjust.
THE ROLE (what you are accountable for)
• Execution of our email program, including creation of customer segments, HTML coding, tagging links, scheduling emails, quality assurance
• Create, maintain, and optimize automated programs (e.g., transaction, trigger, loyalty, etc.) to drive activation, retention, loyalty and reactivation
• Continuously analyze, scrutinize, and test hundreds of hypotheses to drive results including target segmentation and A/B creative testing
• Maintain/build strong relationships with email, SMS, and push vendors.
• Track and communicate performance metrics weekly, monthly, and quarterly
• Engage cross-functionally with merchants, planners, creative team, site ops team and IT to drive program success
YOU ARE:
Technical, data driven, customer marketing expert with a passion for growth experimentation, funnel optimization, with the consumer experience at the center of it all.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or quantitative discipline
• 4+ years of email marketing experience
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, SQL, and excel.
• ExactTarget/Salesforce expertise
• Excellent analytical skills and commercial instincts
• Ability to manage a complex operating environment and prioritize effectively
