Overview
As an Ecommerce Planner, you will work together with buying and merchandising sharing your mastery of establishing plans and adjusting forecasts to make each season successful. The numbers tell a story and we need someone able to maintain in-season OTB to minimize risk and maximize opportunities to achieve budgeted financial goals. This role is key to our ongoing profitability so a strong understanding of the sales and replenishment process and having a proven background with vendors and the inventory lifecycle in Ecommerce is what we are seeking. Knowing the balance between historical data and trends while being able to explain the analysis and influence others is the paramount responsibility in our planner position.
Responsibilities
• Create pre-season financial category plans by week to support department merchandise strategy.
• Analyze results and receipt of merchandise to create a plan based on assigned budgets and adjust forecasts based on current and expected results.
• Partner with the buying and merchandising teams to build bottoms up plans.
• Analyze and report actionable information highlighting trends, opportunities and exceptions.
• Interact with buyers and merchandisers to analyze sales, markdowns, margin, turn and receipt of goods.
• Provide daily, weekly and monthly plans and forecasts.
• Work with Director of Planning to ensure merchandise plan reflects future trends, highlights sales opportunities, markdowns, receipt exposures and recommends productive solutions.
• Creates vendor plans and forecasts. Communicates vendor results and future outlook with vendors on a weekly basis. Discusses opportunities with vendor partners.
• Projects weekly aged inventory performance.
• Partner with Senior Executives and buyers to develop a merchandise mix and coordinate the buy plan with the teams.
• Provide and create Ad-Hoc reports as requested.
• Create and maintain assortment ladder plans.
• Partner with our vendors to tear down prior results and give future forecasts and detail opportunities.
• Interface with Senior Executives and make knowledge based recommendations.
• Translate complex analysis into simple terms.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years of relevant retail ecommerce planning experience required
• Advanced Excel skills are needed
• Knowledge of Merchandise Planning Systems – SAS Planning/Market Max or similar planning tool
• Knowledge of BI System such as MicroStrategy or equivalent
