Sales Coordinator: Become the Newest Member of the Vans Family
You are the glue that keeps our sales team together. As an essential part of the Sales department, you will be primarily responsible for the management of sales within select distribution channels and product categories. You will collaborate and establish business partnerships with management teams, representatives and departments under operations, merchandising and marketing to ensure proper execution and tracking of our sales plans. As the Sales Coordinator, you will help us execute our sales plans through strategic initiatives and make our visions become reality.
How You Will Move the Needle:
• 1. Establish and track channel or category sales in order to compare these results to our established plan and forecast by representative and account in order to ensure our sales plans are successfully executed. (20%)
• 2. Initiates and compiles various sales reports, creates and maintains spreadsheets, logs and tracks various sales functions including open orders, new accounts, sales plans, refused orders and credit holds in order to maintain the organization of our sales information. (30%)
• 3. Drive new processes and improvements in best practices, policies and procedures and execute these externally and internally to provide support in troubleshooting and addressing problems as they arise. (25%)
• 4. Work closely in between with the sales team and key operational departments including credit, customer service and supply chain. (15%)
• 5. Coordinates channel or category meetings and events including sales collateral, samples and logistics. (10%)
Desired Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 3+ years
Educational/Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or equivalent combination of experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:
• Travel required (approximately 20%)
• Bend, lift, open and move product and related office items varying in weight from 1 to 25 lbs, depending on need.
