SUMMARY:
Reporting into the ROXY Brand Regional Marketing lead, the Local Consumer Activation Manager, Americas drives the execution of the regional consumer marketing strategy. Through managing PR, influencers, athletes and events, the Local Consumer Activation Manager builds brand affinity in the US and Canada while assuring alignment with the brand’s global strategies. As the Local Consumer Activation Manager, you are the face of the brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the execution of regional events and associated marketing strategy, working closely with the Global Events Manager to ensure global alignment
• Ensure local relevance of marketing, based on local and competitor expertise
• Establish a rich network in sports, culture and brand scenes to ensure we position the brand close to emerging trends and are able to execute upon them quickly
• Drive and manage athlete and influencer portfolios and their brand association
• Create and manage athlete and influencer activation plans (PR, events, digital campaigns...)
• Develop and review ROI metrics and principles to ensure commercial feasibility of all regional executions
• Analyze competitive intelligence & market information and drives insights to achieve marketing plan
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to optimize outcome of brand initiatives and impact with region consumer
• Serve as the marketing point of contact for core surf accounts and reps
• Manage local marketing budget
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:
• 5+ years of experience in consumer marketing
• Proven track record in delivering best-in-class point of sale marketing solutions, including digital
• An understanding of traditional and non-traditional brand marketing strategies, including digital
• Previous experience in identifying future talent and managing marketing plans around them
• Ability to critically assess portfolio against defined KPIS and ROI considerations
• Ability to represent brand in a credible manner to a variety of third parties
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, can-do attitude
• Ability to identify trends and to turn insights into actions
• A talent for integrating creative and unique marketing solutions into existing and emerging consumer landscapes
• Management of collaborative projects from ideation through planning and execution
• Established network of relevant athletes and influencers
