Purpose
The Senior Manager of Business Analytics will manage the reporting of all KPIs for eCommerce and drive insights that will influence strategies and business priorities for the US region. You will be responsible for analyzing our eCom business and working with key stakeholders to execute & measure these opportunities, such as shipping methodology, promotional effectiveness, and product allocation measurement. In addition, this position will be responsible for keeping a vigilant & proactive eye on our trends and identifying opportunities to increase topline revenue, profitability and consumer satisfaction. To execute these goals, you will oversee the eCom data pipeline and develop key practices to ensure excellent data quality and increase reliance on eCom data in the US market.
Key Responsibilities
• Direct & lead eCommerce business analytics team to support the US eCommerce business, DTC merchandising & all major business units
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand relevant goals, define success metrics and measurement schemes, and translate them into KPIs
• Manage timely reporting, analyses & visualizations to track performance of business
• Collaborate with and influence global & local teams to improve the US eCommerce data pipeline
• Drive forecasting capability by leveraging models devised from web & business KPIs
• Deliver insights and analyze the product sell-through results in collaboration with our category-focused Business Units
• Perform end-to-end analyses on critical eCommerce problems with storytelling and clear recommendations to improve efficiencies & profitability
• Proactively search for business patterns that may influence forecasting capability to identify the most appropriate actions for impacting primary KPIs
• Accountable for leading documentation of eCom data. Work with key stakeholders across the organization to promote the use of eCommerce data in driving holistic market decisions, including product allocation, campaign effectiveness, and distribution.
• Provide assistance in identifying, reporting and resolving technical reporting related issues
• Influence business leaders to prioritize eCommerce through education and presentation of analytics
• Monitor analytics trends, best practices and data language techniques to stay informed on progressive opportunities across new and existing platforms
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
• Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to assemble data, interpret, craft executive summaries and deliver business insights
• Ability to influence senior leaders using data and storytelling, with an executive presence
• Experience leading large-scale data warehousing and analytical projects using big data technologies, specifically digital/web data
• Demonstrated ability with data cleansing, ETL development & data visualization tools (Tableau)
• Proficiency coding in at least one modern programming language (preferably Python) in addition to SQL
• Success in delivering data-based recommendations for quantifiable improvements in business results and consumer satisfaction
• Strong capability to understand and explain complex issues but also clearly identify and communicate the situation at a high level
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to work on several projects simultaneously
• Passion to build a data-driven culture and develop a strong analytics team
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree, preferably in Business, Mathematics, or Computer Science
2. 8+ years of experience in a digital analytics environment
3. Prior experience managing & developing analytical talent and/or external resources
4. 2+ years of experience with advanced data set tools, such as Tableau, Alteryx, R, and programming languages such as Python, Perl, and Java
