Purpose
Lead adidas field organization driving sales and visual excellence within wholesale and direct to consumer channels.
Key Accountabilities
• Create and drive the vision and strategy of the field organization for the adidas brand.
• Lead the development of systems, processes and tools to impact productivity, profitability, accountability and service within the adidas retail and wholesale landscape.
• Develop and continually asses the organizational structure and resources to match company strategy and appetite in the US market.
• Inspire and engage the team to ensure executional excellence at retail in brand management, asset management and consumer presentation.
• Focus on improving sell-through of adidas footwear, apparel and accessories
• Communicate key findings from the team identifying trends, opportunities, and learnings across the country. Develop in coordination with Sr. Manager’s a set of KPI’s to evaluate Field Agent performance
• Coach Sr. Managers and partner with agency on development of Regional Managers and Field Agents to develop a talent pool for the organization across product, sales and marketing long term while increasing sell through, visual excellence, brand awareness and advocacy short term.
• Create an environment for team to excel, align and manage key timelines and partners on all deliverables for success against launches and team education and engagement.
• Serve as liaison between Field Agents, Agency, Sales, Marketing to identify opportunities or areas for concern
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
• Ability to motivate and inspire a team; coach, provide a framework for performance and build talent up within the organization to meet brand and commercial goals.
• Ability to develop and implement innovative strategies analyze data and identify retail solutions
• Broad understanding of how all facets of the marketing mix can affect consumer motivation, product needs and the retail experience.
• Flexibility to work with short time lines in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of, Retail landscape, training methods, visual merchandising, retail marketing, and presentation.
• Ability to interact at all levels within an organization—both orally and in writing
• Passion for product
• Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels of clients, sales associates through senior managers and internal stakeholders
• Strong project and budget management and planning skills
• Strong influencing skills internally and externally
• Ability to work some weekends
• Ability to travel: Estimated at 30%
• Excellent MS Office skills
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Marketing, Business, Education/Training or related field
2. Minimum of 10 years of relevant Retail and/or Product Training experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
3. Minimum 8 years management experience.
