External Job Description
The Manager, Creative Services and Internal Communication develops and executes communication strategies that are aligned with ascena Brand Services organizational objectives using multi-channel communication campaigns and tactics to increase awareness of strategic projects, goals and associate engagement. This position plays a critical role in how we build a culture of engagement and development across all of aBS. The ultimate goal of this position is to create great associate experiences that connect people to aBS, our brands and each other.
• Develop and manage an overarching communication strategy for multiple communication channels including Intranet, TVs, meeting and events (e.g., Town Halls, leadership meetings, HR and development/education opportunities), philanthropic campaigns, HR programs across all aBS locations.
• Develop and execute strategic internal campaigns that are aligned with brand strategy, business goals and organizational objectives for high visibility projects and initiatives through multichannel campaigns.
• Manage and evolve the aBS Intranet with the goal of connecting aBS associates to news, information and each other across all locations. This includes responsibility for visual design, site navigation, site content (e.g., articles, announcements, change requests), engagement and training of users, coordination of key stakeholders, oversight of the technology and monitoring and reporting site analytics on key performance indicators.
• Work closely with stakeholders (e.g., executive leaders, HR, functional teams) on-brand creative elements from concept to implementation; including print, interactive, web, presentation and video assets; with an eye toward consistency and recognition.
• Provide input to talent lifecycle-related programs to ensure consistency and repeatability throughout the programs, communications and approaches that are associate-facing.
• Develops and drives national town hall strategy and leads a team across locations to execute the Town Hall strategy.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field required
• 7+ years of experience in an internal communication capacity
• Strong project management skills; including the ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously
• Exceptional written communication, interpersonal, presentation and leadership skills required
• Desire and ability to research and implement new methods of communications, creative and multi-media platforms and deliverables
• Demonstrated ability to deliver outcome-based programs
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Word press, Microsoft Office, HTML, CSS, BrightSign/Bright Author, Final Cut Pro, Macintosh and PC platform
• Proven ability to anticipate and manage change in an ambiguous and complex business environment with multi-level/discipline clients and stakeholders
• Influence and negotiation skills at all levels, with the ability to achieve results through others
