Description
As our North America Account Marketing Sr. Manager, you'll join a dynamic team dedicated to developing and implementing Converse brand initiatives and account marketing programs. You will function as a strategic thought partner to drive brand strength, fuel demand and strengthen our connection with consumers. You'll develop brand-right account strategies, and develop fully integrated marketing programs that deliver results. Additionally, you will drive seasonal marketing briefs for in-store, online, and retail events that drive brand energy, and accelerate growth across retail platforms. You will manage all details of program execution, including elevated brand initiatives, seasonal graphics, account campaigns, retail events and product seeding. You'll contribute to the development of Integrated Marketplace functional strategies, and the implementation and evaluation of plans for seasonal product launches. You’ll participate in Converse’s Seasonal GamePlan, and attend meetings with account leadership on a regular basis. You'll meet regularly with Finance to track spend against assigned quarterly budgets. You'll be a Converse brand champion, consumer advocate and a marketplace expert.
Accountabilities
MARKETPLACE
• Expertise in footwear trends, retail marketplace trends, and consumer insights to develop strategic plans that enhance the Converse Brand position at retail.
• Understanding of consumer behaviors, culture, shopping needs, purchasing habits and consumption of media.
• Understanding of the digital and social landscape. Insight on teen consumer’s shopping trends and online habits.
• Understanding of the Converse consumer, industry trends, and retail realities to develop engaging retail programming and marketing plans.
• Execute in-market programming across a variety of platforms supporting product launches, brand storytelling, consumer activations and events.
• Leverage internal and external processes to ensure programs are executed on strategy, on time and on budget.
• Drive account marketing plans from strategy, through insights, concept, internal alignment, campaign creation, execution, and hind sighting.
Collaborative Partnership
• Partner with North America Brand Marketing team to leverage brand programming in support of retail objectives.
• Partner with North America Commerce and Merchandising functions to ensure alignment between sales goals, product assortments and marketing initiatives.
• Create effective and positive relationships with the holistic North America team including Marketing, Commerce, Merchandising, Finance, Go-to-Market, Strategy and Operations.
• Ensure timely, frequent and effective communication of account updates and consumer insights to relevant members of the North America team.
• Partner as a key member of the North America Marketing team and work cross functionally with Brand Management, Brand Communications, Brand Design, Digital and Media teams on quarterly and seasonal deliverables.
• Foster a culture of teamwork and trust.
Qualifications
• 5-7 years marketing experience
• Passion for the brand, and ability and willingness to take the right risks; identifying opportunities for future business
• Strong sense of urgency and always taking initiative
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to effectively communicate complex topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience
• Being responsive but thinking proactively
• Ability to effectively elevate strategic concerns to senior management in a timely and accurate manner
• Ability to multi-task several projects at once and stay on budget and timeline
• Demonstrate leadership in fostering continuous learning, empowerment, involvement, and opportunities
• Ability to establish an independent view, effectively collaborate in decision-making and motivate others
• Strong understanding of footwear, apparel, and accessories retail landscape preferred; knowing the competition and their consumers
