About the Role:
Refinery29 is looking for a well-trained copy editor to help our Brand Experiences team take our sponsored content to the next level. Our ideal candidate is able to excel in a fun and fast-moving environment without losing her/his meticulous attention to detail or missing deadlines. This is a part-time freelance role based out of our New York office.

What you’ll do:
• Reviewing and top editing content for the Refinery29 Brand Experiences team, including dedicated emails, sponsored slides, social media, co-branded collateral, and client-facing decks, as well as content for the marketing and events teams
• Ensuring copy is well-written, on-brand, grammatically correct, and logical, while also in line with R29’s style guide and preferred formatting
• Fact-checking all content
• Ensuring sponsored content is in line with the objectives of our advertising partners and in accordance with regulations for advertising
• Helping evolve and uphold best practices and standards for branded content at R29 across fashion, beauty, wellness, living, and entertainment; must be able to flag and communicate any big-picture issues to senior members of the Brand Experiences team
What you have:
• 1-3 years in a copy editing role within digital media
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment against tight deadlines, without sacrificing accuracy or attention to detail
• Flawless command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation
• Strong writing skills and a grasp of the R29 voice
• Genuine interest in digital advertising and specifically branded content
• Never-ending patience and a positive attitude
