Global Brand Merchandising drives assortment direction focused on category consumer right assortments to ensure a holistic, premium, differentiated and elevated marketplace. This role brings the global strategy to life through creating assortment frameworks and module grids that become consumer right assortments. Global Merchants are responsible for driving the brand vision market-wide and working with their Geography partners across the integrated marketplace to drive well-informed assortment strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partners with the Global and Geo cross-functional teams to deliver well-informed assortments to the consumer
• Responsible for driving assortment direction
• Acts as the pivot for categories as well as the bridge from brand to marketplace
• Gather information on Marketplace Capacity & Insights (MC&I) and determine consolidation process with Geo decisions
• Integrate MC&I into Assortment Framework and provide to the Global Product team to inform the line plan decision process
• Provide Design and Color partners with marketplace insights on key styles
• Collaborate and drive brand and category stories through integrating defining items and key looks into Minimum Credible Assortments market-wide
• Ensure consistent brand and category storytelling
• Provide well-informed, seasonal category modular assortments to the Geo Category Merchandising teams
• Recommend target wholesale and retail price to Product
• Drive alignment on geo adoption of seasonal strategies and assortments
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years directly relevant experience; apparel, footwear fashion preferred
• Footwear merchandising or buying experience preferred
• Comprehensive experience as a business/ process leader or industry expert
• Proficient in MS Office Suite required
• Physical movement of samples and boxes as needed, during meeting setups
• Ability to travel 20-25% of the time
