Our Enterprise Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for all technology & non-technology projects that DSW Inc. undertakes. The PMO is part of our Transformation & Technology IT organization. IT manages all of our technology, from our point of sale systems in DSW, Inc. stores to the desktop computer at home office and everything in between. They keep us connected in all areas of the business!
Our Project Management Office team has an Information Technology internship opportunity available for Summer 2018. At the end of the program, the interns will have a better understanding of the enterprise PMO function within DSW.
• Internships will begin Summer 2018 (Mid to late May) and last for 12 weeks
• All interns are full-time, paid positions
• All interns must be able to pay for their own housing and transportation while in Columbus
• Only the candidates who meet the internship requirements will be contacted for interviews
• All interns will be required to complete a project at the end of the internship program
• This opportunity is only open to Sophomore, Junior, and Senior candidates at this time
• Relocation and housing expenses will not be covered by DSW
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Assist with the coordination and delivery of PMO managed projects, analytics, reporting and process improvement
• Play a key project analyst role in PMO automation efforts & projects
• Assist with creating and maintaining project work plans and organizational communication plans
• Assist with meeting prep and facilitation
• Partner with PMO team to drive continuous improvements in PMO processes
Minimum Qualifications:
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills as well as excellent listening skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments simultaneously and meet established schedules and deadlines
• Knowledge of Retail Industry
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong collaboration skills to partner with team members on new projects and ideas
Preferred Qualifications:
• Basic knowledge of MS Project
