DESIGN - PRINT
Are you interested in an internship in Philly with URBN for the summer of 2018? Now is your chance! We are currently accepting applications to receive an invitation to the URBN Internship Interview Day that will take place in early January 2018.
CREATOR: You are innovative, inventive, artistic, and detail oriented.
Design Intern Responsibilities
• Assist in the development of prints/ patterns for apparel and accessories
• Color prints according to the trends and seasonal color palettes
• Design original artworks and repeat layouts appropriate for the concept direction of the brand
• Co-maintain vintage archives, print and pattern swatches and print samples with wovens print and pattern designer
• Work with overseas factory shipments
Qualifications
• Proficient skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and/or CAD – hand drawing skills are awesome but fast pace on computer platforms is essential.
• Technical knowledge of print and dye techniques as well as industry print manufacturing processes.
• Strong organizational skills. Ability to self-manage, meet deadlines and complete tasks in timely manner.
• Strong sense of aesthetics in color, print, fabric and silhouettes.
• Ability to research and report on fashion trends, color, print, and fabric innovations approximately 9- 12 months ahead of season
• Ability to recognize and accurately forecast fashion and cultural trends as they relate to the target customer
What to Submit

(2) Spring 2018 Print Design Brief (8.5 X 11 PDF)
• Study our customer and design a concept board for the Spring 2018 season showing a fashion trend based upon your understanding of our customer and product
• The board should touch upon trending fashion silhouettes, pattern direction, and color palette. Please include image tears, trims, fabric qualities, knit downs, and/ or anything you feel is relevant to convey your point of view.
• Pull one idea from your concept board and create 2 prints based around this idea to demonstrate your research abilities, ability to develop a concept, as well as your artistic hand.
• This is the creative part of the application so have fun with it!
