Description
The Senior Director of Engineering is responsible for the physical infrastructure and Industrial Engineering of for all facilities in NA Supply Chain. In this role you will contribute to the definition, development and implementation of Nike’s North America Facilities and Engineering Mission, Vision, and Strategy. You will lead, develop, and implement best practices across all sites, while creating strategic resolution regarding opportunities involving Industrial Engineering, Labor Management, and physical infrastructure of all facilities in the NALC, which includes all building mechanics, machinery and equipment that impacts the overall distribution’s productivity capabilities.
As the Senior Director of Engineering, you will need to influence scheduled maintenance activities while minimizing impact to business operations. This will require a collaborative approach with all operations in the network ensuring a level of support that is suitable for a 24x7 operation. This role is instrumental in developing the physical infrastructure, equipment, and maintenance of all facilities in Memphis NALC.
You will manage large scale investment projects. You’ll make decisions on vendors used to construct the NALC, equipment that will be installed for operations, facility layout, and building branding. All activities have implications on operational effectiveness of the NA Supply Chain. This role is responsible for establishing and implementing effective levels of communication between all functional teams within the site operations.
In addition, this role will maintain understanding and institutional awareness on an engineering, maintenance, and facility on a consistent basis. You will also lead projects to help the organization achieve its sustainability goals for 2020 and 2025.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum 10 years relevant work experience. In lieu of a degree, an additional 2 years of relevant work experience is acceptable.
• Prior experience leading, developing, and implementing best practices across multiple sites.
• Prior experience working collaboratively across multiple functions and with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience supporting a 24x7 operation is preferred.
• Operations experience with cross functional development
• Experience in implementing Lean
