PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
Role Summary: Works closely with other Marketing roles, Account Lead and Global to understand product specific consumer trends, develop the Category Strategy to guide overall product strategy and negotiates brands strategic category priorities with Global; Provides significant input into the LRP; covers basic, launch, gift/promo and holiday/sets
Skill Summary: Strong analytical skills, business acumen and financial judgment; strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to effectively advance NA priorities
POSITION REQUIRMENTS:
Analytical Responsibilities
• Ability to look at internal sales trends, market and consumers trends and develop accurate estimates for future sales by category and key subcategory, collaborating closely with Account Management, Consumer Marketing, Head of Marketing and GM
• Develops nation-wide assortment plan and works with Account Lead and Account & Sales Planning to inform door-level assortment plans
• Ability to conduct market and trend analyses, including competitive analyses
• Ability to identify new trends and feed those back to Global to influence product development
• Work with head of Marketing and Account Management lead to develop account allocations
• Develops overall brand strategy with Head of Marketing and GM of North America
• Creates and tracks top DMA strategies based on locally relevant consumer needs
• Conducts quarterly competitive review and provides defense strategy – measures key elements of execution and success factors
• Lead Affiliate line edit / discontinuation process – work with Global Marketing to ensure Affiliate’s needs are captured from SKU productivity and profitability perspective
• Lead bi-annual pricing strategy for the US Affiliate – ensuring we are capturing aspirational pricing while assessing consumer pricing sensitivity within different channels of distribution
• Manages COGs impact by season and by full year – works with Trade Marketing and Account Leads to manage mix within portfolio to effectively manage COGs in order to meet fiscal year targets
Creative Responsibilities
• Able to conceptualize and execute a full 360 marketing program for products and work with Global and Trade Marketers to develop tailored campaigns and marketing events; able to provide clear instruction to creative team to execute
Project Management
• Develops clear list with timing for all assets required for marketing campaigns
• Tracks and ensures that non-saleable collateral is being produced against timeline for campaigns
• Manages strategy scorecard to ensure we are executing against plan and measuring against the plan.
Qualifications:
◦ 8+ years of relevant experience – Management Consulting or Investment Banking experience a huge plus
◦ MBA preferred
◦ Strong analytical skills and judgment
◦ Significant marketing campaign development experience
◦ Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with others
◦ Strong organization and project management skills
