Summary:
The VP, Global Marketing will lead the GlamGlow Marketing team in the development and execution of brand strategy. Responsible for the innovation and marketing of quality products, programs and promotions that resonate with consumers globally, which builds profitability and enhances the brand’s competitive position in the global marketplace.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand Strategy:
• Develop the annual GLAMGLOW strategic plan in conjunction with GM and Finance Lead and execute against it. As part hereof evaluate business growth opportunities, long term vs. short term gain, and participate in the review process and strategic implementation (i.e., specialty-multi channels, e-commerce, new market launches)
• Work closely with GM and Founder to develop long-term innovation strategy for the brand, based on insight from both markets and consumers, and leveraging the new technologies and corporate platforms (where applicable)
• Work closely with GM and Finance on yearly budget guidelines and budget planning
• Lead Product – and Consumer Marketing. North America Marketing, International Marketing and Online will matrix into this role to ensure global marketing strategy is implemented
Global Key Responsibilities:
• Manages existing marketing team and designs future marketing structure in partnership with the GM and HR
• Responsible for the product pipeline including concepts, approval, development and for gaining affiliate support for marketing programs. This encompasses both a 3-year rolling overviev and monthly calendar updates
• Oversees all aspects of program implementation with cross functional partner groups to bring new products and programs to market
• Lead the product marketing team in their work with Finance, Product Development, Packaging, GSR and GBSC to ensure brand achieves COG targets and manage SKU productivity
• Lead the product marketing team in setting the price strategy. As part hereof, conduct studies and issues recommendations to management
• Develop a global, regionally relevant, consumer marketing strategy across all consumer touch points. As part hereof lead the consumer marketing team in the development and execution of the global digital strategy inclusive of social media, influencer, content and video marketing
• Develops global and regional A&P strategy and spending mix across key business levers with focus on social, merchandising and sampling
• Lead brand voice / copy team to ensure the brand has a distinct sexy, disruptive, fun positioning in the market place
• Direct market research studies as required
Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree Required
• 25% travel required
• 15+ years experience
• Strategic, conceptual and applied marketing experience required
• Strong understanding of both North America and International markets required
• Strong financial acumen
• Experience in managing and developing a team, flexibility to work with global teams
• Ability to succeed in a highly creative environment and collaborate effectively with all cross functional teams and external stakeholders inclusive of, but not limited to, creative, product development, sales, operations and retail partners
• Strong leadership skills and project management skills
• Outstanding written, oral, and presentation-based communications skills
• Able to travel to US and International markets as needed
