Executive Director Marketing – Professional and Services
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for developing and executing North America marketing programs and strategies for key salon categories including Hair Color, Hair Treatment, Styling and Professional Services to drive results and increase market share, sales and profitability within the North America affiliate.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop effective professional salon marketing programs that deliver strong return on investment
Create 360 degree salon marketing campaigns to drive traffic to salons with a focus on sell-through
Regionalize marketing plan including creative messaging, collateral and animation
Build salon marketing plans for eventing including trial and sampling, services and experiences
Create effective execution strategies including guest experiences, stylist engagement activities and field execution tools
Analyze and understand in detail the “why” behind the results and formulate action plans on how to accelerate, partner with senior leadership regarding changes as necessary
Provide strategies for merchandising and category management within the salon channel
Oversee product and category planning, including limited life, discontinuation and out of stock management
Present and communicate professional salon marketing programs to key stakeholders as needed
Responsible for effectively managing the NA Professional budget by providing accurate estimates and cost savings solutions
Align with overall NA marketing strategies to ensure a consistent guest experience across all Aveda channels
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent. A relevant combination of experience and education may be considered.
Experience:
10 years progressive experience in Sales & Marketing

• Demonstrated leadership experience in Marketing within a multi-channel environment
• Exceptional leadership skills including strategic planning and an entrepreneurial business approach
• An entrepreneurial spirit including the ability to make decisions as if the business were one’s own
• Demonstrated ability to create and execute strategic marketing plans that drive sales results
• Strong financial acumen including the ability to create, understand and analyze financial and sales reports
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including ability to write content and copy
• Strong presentation skills including the ability to present to large audiences
• Ability to adapt quickly to meet the demands of the business
• Must possess a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance
• Ability to travel, lift up to 30 pounds on an occasional basis and transport own luggage while traveling
