Job Description
Digital Merchandising Analyst
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Analyze, interpret, and translate data into meaningful insights that drive actionable and strategic recommendations for digital merchandising on all Kohl’s digital channels.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Analysis
• Provide analysis of key product categories’ performance and merchandising strategies for kohls.com
• Lead the identification process of overall category shopping behaviors and patterns
• Analyze events/campaigns by category and perform predictive analysis to identify opportunities to optimize
• Provide insights and recommendations for Digitally Influenced Store Sales (DISS)
Site Optimization, Strategy & Execution
• Lead the programming of MVT tests, analyze results and draw meaningful conclusions
• Ensure accuracy of the reporting data and analytics (accurate tagging)
• Identify and present new opportunities/areas of growth that will improve ability to achieve desired goals and influence online sales
• Work with stakeholders to understand business needs, gather test requirements, and define success metrics
Cross Functional Partnerships
• Work with other digital team members to gather qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources to drive and develop solutions
• Report findings/test results to key stakeholders in a comprehensive and timely manner
• Present formal results, insights, and recommendations to broader digital group
• Work closely with analytics team and developers to set up testing activities and partner with them on best practices
• Train new team members in omniture and standard reporting dashboards
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• Bachelor's degree, mathematics or statistics background preferred
• Minimum of 3 years digital experience
• High level of comfort working with Adobe/Omniture platform (or similar platforms)
• Knowledge of testing methodology and techniques
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to multi-task, work under firm deadlines within a rapidly changing environment
• Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
Preferred
• E-commerce website or online retailer experience preferred
• Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, SQL or other programming languages
• Tableau experience
