Summary
The person in this role is responsible for cascading the brand strategy to the regions/affiliates for implementation, and subsequently identifying clear “Where to Play” and “How to Win” choices and providing insights to the Global brand into localized needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Integral point person in the Brand’s Strategic short and plan development as the lead on culling and synthesizing International inputs.
• Serve as the primary advocate and voice of the international regions within the global brand, ensuring that resources and energy are committed to help achieve International sales growth targets.
• Partner with Global cross-functional partners to:
◦ Ensure product assortment is relevant for Regions/Affiliates and together determine appropriate international mix of business.
◦ Define merchandising strategies that are relevant for Regions/Affiliates, minimizing customization.
◦ Identify, adopt and deploy “best practices” in the areas of Digital brand building Marketing, Social Media and Content Development.
◦ Define International education programs and tools.
◦ Fulfill local creative requests for assets, visual merchandising, etc.
◦ Engage the Regions/Affiliates in the brand’s vision and future product architecture development, ensuring they can translate these into effective, aggressive short and long range business plans.
• Define and propose the international business development strategy (timing, cadence, sequence) taking into account ELC presence and existing relationships, market potential, channels, product relevance, brand relevance and necessary investment to properly execute.
• Lead any distributor business disintermediations, working closely with Legal to mitigate risks and liabilities.
• Cultivate key retailers/vendor relationships together with Regions/Affiliates
• Accelerate growth in e-Commerce and Travel Retail.
• Work with Regions/Affiliates to develop and propose budgets.
• Responsible and accountable for the brand International P&L.
• Track pricing and recommend pricing actions as needed.
Qualifications
• 12+ years of experience in beauty or other consumer goods category.
• MBA preferred.
• International general management experience integrating and building a business. This experience ideally includes time on-the-ground in Europe, the UK or the Asia-Pacific region.
• Understanding of international retailer and distributor trade relationships within the CPG space, particularly in Europe and Asia-Pacific.
• Brand strategy, general management, and marketing experience.
• P&L management experience.
