GENERAL SUMMARY
The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for planning and executing Field Visual Merchandising strategies, guidelines, windows and 4 wall-marketing programs for Retail and Wholesale channels, with a focus on Owned, Partnership Stores, Shop in Shop and key wholesale partners. This role requires a proven track record in executing visual merchandising initiatives across country. The objectives of this role are to drive traffic and increase conversion / sell through across both Retail and Wholesale channels.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Develop Field VM plans and schedules with Field Visual Merchandising Manager to fulfill UK market needs.
• Execute Field VM strategies, plans, schedules, windows and 4 wall marketing programs based on channel and UK market needs to drive store traffic, conversion and sell through.
• Collaborate with Marketing / Retail / Partnership Stores / Sales to deliver field visual merchandising solutions that are fully integrated into the overall marketing mix and supportive of our brand / business goals.
• Report field VM activities on a regular basis and identify key learnings to continuously improve field VM strategies, plans, schedules and programs.
• Train and support Own and Partner Stores staff to execute VM guidelines and directives, in collaboration with Retail Operations department.
• Manage and own field VM budget in UK to maximize ROI and achieve financial plans. Track and monitor budget on a monthly basis to ensure compliance with company approved numbers
QUALIFICATIONS
• University Degree in Retail Management and / or Visual Merchandising
• Experience: at least 3 years experience in visual merchandising ideally in sport or fashion industries
• Deep understanding of The North Face brand with a passion for the outdoor and athletic industries.
• Language skills: Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Notions of German, French, Spanish and Italian would be a plus.
