Responsibilities:
Manages execution of design strategy in retail stores.
Manages reviews of concept and design development drawings per guidelines.
Provides clear, effective and timely communication of design direction to internal and external partners. Identifies exceptions, proposes and implements design solutions.
Contributes to team goals by achieving target milestones and meeting all established deadlines.
Designs stores within parameters of individual store budgets and market requirements with alignment from cross functional teams.
Manages the production of construction documents by internal and external designers and consultants. Responsible for the integrity and quality of the construction documents inclusive of design intent, detailing, code requirements, scheduling and MEPs.
Participates in the architectural design process by reviewing and analyzing project documentation.
Sets schedules with alignment from cross-functional teams. Communicates dates to project team and meets all established deadlines.
Manages projects, documents and timelines on internal software.
Contributes to maintenance of internal platform for guidelines, standards, specifications and materials.
Participates in schematic reviews with cross-functional teams.
Mentors junior designers.
Qualifications:
Min. 7-10 years professional experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design
Professional License preferred
Knowledge of architectural details and specifications for construction document production.
Organizational skills; attention to detail
International Experience beneficial
Strong problem solving and decision making skills
General understanding of building codes & environmental regulations.
Proficiency in use of AutoCAD, Sketch Up and InDesign Suite.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and build effective working relationships.
Ability to balance design, with operational needs and budget objectives resulting in exceptional store environments.
Ability to execute multiple designs under tight deadlines.
Advanced experience in interpretation of and creation of construction documents, technical details and engineering drawings.
Advanced experience in shop drawing reviews.
Specialty knowledge in HVAC, lighting and energy management systems.
Time management, prioritization and communication skills.
Ability to confidently lead work groups that include landlords, architects, engineers, general contractors and Under Armour leadership.
Strong team player.
