Within this context, enabling capabilities such as pricing and merchandising analytics are becoming increasingly critical to support even further the Nike brand and business development. Elevating our expertise in supporting Line planning activities, as well as optimizing our Pricing strategy to meet precisely consumer expectations as well as profitability requirement will be key to future Nike successes.
Key responsibilities:
1. Analytics.
• Enable short- and long-term optimization of GEO line planning and market capacity projection, through deep analytics across both internal (productivity, profitability) and external (consumer preference, market growth, competitive position) lenses.
• Partner with GEO and GLOBAL stakeholders to drive seasonal geo line planning process.
• Support Merchandising larger organization from analytical perspective, leveraging cross-functional partners and infrastructure to provide standard tools, deliver against ad hoc requests and enable cross-category projects.
• Ability to develop vision aligned with overall Brand strategic direction, while showing high level of adaptability around priorities within a fast-changing environment.
2. Pricing.
• Develop Nike Europe pricing strategy, aligned with global pricing strategy, and drive execution on both geo and territory level.
• Enable and support Category Merchandising through Game Plan key gates with regards to pricing, championing consumer- and market-first perspective on pricing and driving cross-category alignment.
• Lead territory pricing for specific markets (i.e. Russia, Turkey, Middle East, Africa), working closely with both Category Merchandising and respective territory teams.
• Partner with stakeholders to drive GEO margin performance.
3. Team.
• Lead, coach, drive and inspire the Pricing and Analytics team.
• Champion innovation and new ways of thinking and working.
• Effectively manage relationship with other analytics teams and related functions, driving synergies and maximizing our potential.
Qualifications
• Master degree required, MBA preferred
• At least 8 years’ experience in relevant fields (analytics, pricing, management consulting, strategic planning, corporate strategy or similar) in a leadership role. Prior experience in merchandising, product creation, retail, fashion or related fields is a strong plus
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams, across lead / drive / inspire /coach dimensions
• Ability to work with high degree of independence while effectively interacting with stakeholders on multiple levels, including executive leadership teams and senior management
• Proven project management, problem structuring and strategic problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Superior writing, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills in English, including storytelling to senior leaders
