Organizational Structure:
The Production Systems Assistant reports directly to the Production Systems Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Data entry and maintenance of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and fabric contents information into system
• Create Universal product code and send to vendors
• Establish, maintain, and finalize size breaks for Purchase Orders
• Manage Purchase Order creation, splitting and maintenance responsibilities, updating vendors as needed
• Create and maintain purchase order tracking chart
• Assist costing functions, flash costing, pre costing, maintenance and margin roles
• Support handbag production, WIP management, purchase order and production follow up with supplier
• Create drop shipment chart and purchase orders along with special accounts, and finalize bulk purchase order
• Cross check all quantities in the Sales Against Orders report with units issued in the production chart
• Update care content origin chart based on care labels as approved
• Communicate daily with import factories for purchase orders, size breaks, UPCs, etc.
• Assist with report development, weekly management and distribution of all production reports
• Participate in general production activities and attend all team meetings
Qualifications:
• 1-2 years of experience in apparel manufacturing/production preferred
• 4 year college degree strongly preferred
• Ability to multi-task with great attention to detail
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong proficiency in Excel and all Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Outlook
• Must be detail oriented and has the ability to work in a face paced environment
