Under Armour: Sr. Director of Global Merchandising
Under Armour has developed into a leading brand in sports apparel and the most dynamic brand in sports in the past 30 years. Its products are extremely high quality but what sets Under Armour apart is its unique, powerful and authentic connection with athletes and people who share this athletic spirit. Under Armour built its brand and story based on innovating the “compression shirt” but equally importantly, by creating a movement. A powerful shift in what a shirt could mean to an athlete. The 16-year-old linebacker feels strong and empowered in our baselayer. The 32-year-old marathoner feels empowered, athletic and cool in our heat gear. The highest quality products, powerful story telling and authentication by “home town hero” athletes helped create the powerful movement that is Under Armour.
Under Armour is building out a brand new Merchandising function, creating a structure that supports and keeps pace with our aggressive growth. Our products have a compelling story to tell, and Global Merchandising is the conduit that translates and delivers our story and product with integrity and impact across all sales channels.
Under Armour is looking for a Sr. Director of Global Merchandising who will be responsible for managing all aspects of Merchandising for the Global Running category. This leader will be on point to anticipate and create the next movement in these categories, will have revenue accountability, and will be responsible for Global Merchandising standards, product segmentation, and go-to-market strategy. This individual will create the brand experience for our Global Running Footwear and Apparel business. Working closely with colleagues from Product, Marketing, Planning and Sales, this leader will help ensure Under Armour’s Global Running businesses are created, assorted, and translated to effectively drive sales, create a great customer experience, and increase market share. The Sr. Director of Global Merchandising will build a team of category, channel, and market experts and ensure each and every teammate is aligned to our overall brand mission to “Make All Athletes Better”.
Responsibilities: Sr. Director of Global Merchandising
The Sr. Director of Global Merchandising is responsible for all aspects of merchandising strategy:
• Share accountability for Global Revenue, SKU productivity, and sell-through for the Global Running Business
• Ensure Brand vision and Running Product stories are being told consistently across the globe
• Develop strategic planning road map for global product trends, needs, and opportunities
• Collaborate with cross-functional executives to align big stories, drive product assortment, and deliver consistent stories
• Build integrated go-to-market strategy that delivers a consistent global brand story and also tailors assortments to regional market needs
• Ensure appropriate product segmentation and channel differentiation for Running product
• Lead and build a team while communicating vision, inspiring performance, and developing talent
• Consolidate feedback from markets and channels, both qualitative and quantitative, into actionable follow-up for Product team

• Minimum of 7 years in merchandising- or product-related positions of increasing responsibility including leading large organizations.
