Smartwool Marketing Content Coordinator
1. Curate and create content to amplify Smartwool’s voice.
a. Identify brand storytelling opportunities and partner with key parties (athletes, creative team, Advocacy partners, etc.) to develop compelling, relevant, and credible content.
b. Create original content based on seasonal calendar, GTM initiatives, brand and company events, etc. using strong writing, photography and Photoshop skills.
c. Be the expert on company happenings to tell the story of our company culture and people.
d. Partner closely with SEO team to define priorities and develop SEO-driven content.
e. Determine, analyze, and report on content/blog KPIs, including traffic, engagement, and conversion.
2. Day-to-day execution of social media strategy and calendar.
a. Partner with digital team in creating and executing a specific posting calendar per channel to distribute brand content.
b. Advance the brand experience on social media platforms using features like Instagram Stories, Facebook Live.
3. Support team in all digital marketing efforts.
a. Involvement in long-term planning and content development for GTM initiatives.
b. Work cross-functionally to keep master seasonal marketing calendar up-to-date during season.
c. Balance a wide range of projects and timelines using strong organization, project management, and a deadline-driven, results-oriented approach.
QUALIFICATIONS:(Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred (Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Photography, Design) or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years experience leading content strategy, development, and distribution.
• Proven storytelling skills through all forms of content, including superior writing and editing, photography, video, and short form social media posts.
• Ability to write and edit long and short form copy within brand voice and style.
• Proficiency in digital photography, video editing, Photoshop and Adobe CS.
• Demonstrated SEO ability to drive traffic to web properties.
• Proven experience using social media channels to distribute and amplify content.
• Experience in HTML and Adobe Experience Manager a plus.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate within digital team and directly with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in MS Office Programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Self-motivated, deadline- and budget-driven, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, continually changing environment.
• Previous outdoor/action sports industry social/digital marketing experience a plus.
• Willingness to travel 40-50%.
