Marketing Manager - Dockers.com
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Global Ecommerce Marketing Manager (Dockers.com) will own and manage the site presentation for Global Dockers.com. Including, but not limited to, global site creative, mobile/tablet, online media creative and consultation on email and photography.
Job Responsibilities:
• Lead the seasonal and monthly creative briefing process for Global Dockers Ecommerce. Includes all facets of site creative, content, and mobile needs
• Drive flawless execution on site, from delivery to launch (with support of Marketing Coordinator and key cross-functional partners: FED team, ops, merchandising, brand marketing and creative teams)
• Serve as Ecomm lead to the Dockers brand in partnership w/ Senior Merchant (includes MBR w/ brand President + Monthly Global Brand Meeting).
• Write all briefs (site, photography/content) and secure approval of appropriate team members before it’s broadly distributed
• Involve key stakeholders at correct points in time in the creative review process. Including, but not limited to: Merch, Demand Gen, CRM, Analytics, Product and Brand/PR team
• Own the day-to-day creative team & brand marketing relationship. Ensure all teams both internally are aware of expectations, scope and timelines.
• Understand the Dockers Ecommerce financial plan and develop briefs that not only meet creative expectations but make positive impact on how the work drives conversion and sales
• Owner of US & EU Dockers.com pushdecks (site content calendars). Include input from key stakeholders + analytics + brand initiatives.
• Partner with Brand & Creative teams to produce photography that supports ecommerce needs (seasonal and promotional).
• Drive SEO optimized asset delivery with creative team and demand generation manager.
• Champion data-driven marketing. Site creative to be deeply informed by past performance reporting. Partner with Analytics team members to run creative tests and deep dive site analytics to inform campaign performance + future marketing.
• Present Dockers.com site performance in Weekly Business Review meetings
• Team management - Responsible for setting proper expectations with Marketing Coordinator on delivery of all marketing team deliverables (i.e. Content Matrices, Copy Matrices, Translations, etc.). Take time to coach and develop Marketing Coordinator to ensure he/she is appropriately challenged, motivated and growing.
• Monitor competitive landscape and stay on top of digital and ecommerce trends and strive to educate and evangelize internally – ultimately helping to keep Dockers ahead of the curve
• Partner with the Email/CRM team to make sure site and media creative are in lock step with email creative
• Provide input/brief into to brand team to inform Brand seasonal shoots – ensuring that Ecomm needs are covered
• Collaborate with the Dockers Brand Marketing team to get ahead of Global/National initiatives and deliver a brand appropriate experience that connects back to Ecommerce objectives
• Partner with New Markets team to support and optimize new ecommerce countries + regions not on the Hybris platform. Enable maximum asset leveraging across the globe.
• Partner with CRM team to deliver necessary site/mobile/media creative for Dockers customer acquisition programs to drive database growth
• Help manage the Global Dockers Ecommerce financial budget
• On a monthly basis go through the checks and balances with our Finance team and Budget Coordinators to make sure the responsibility of paying invoices is occurring correctly
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree Required, Advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years marketing experience including brand, digital marketing or customer marketing, or other related area
• Ecommerce experience preferred
• Global marketing experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead moderate to complex projects
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills including influence and persuasion
• Demonstrated ability to independently solve moderate to complex problems
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills - includes influencing and negotiation skills
• Demonstrates flexibility and initiative with minimal direction
• Excellent business acumen with the ability to conduct basic cost/benefit and return analysis on programs
• Extensive knowledge of market trends and the retail landscape
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
