THE ROLE
The role of Support Specialist is to help support the Digital business deliver great experiences to our customers. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise to assist with website data and journey issues, content and publishing problems along with supporting our users in our internal applications. Within this role, the customer (internal & external) is the most important thing and you will work within SLA’s that are designed to ensure that we are always ready and able to provide a great service to them.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Architecture Strategy:
• Define the Arcadia Digital architecture vision, strategy & roadmap, aligned with the overall Customer Domain, Arcadia IT and Business Strategies.
• Support the Domain architect in developing and communicating the Customer strategy and roadmap, from a Digital channels perspective.
• Lead research and development to define the technical strategy for Digital across Arcadia, and developing the roadmap for the Digital channels, in partnership with the Domain Architect, the Retail Architect and the Portfolio Manager.
• Oversee a process for identifying business drivers and opportunities across Digital to derive enterprise business, information, technical and solution architecture requirements.
• Identify industry, technology and market trends across Digital Channels to determine their potential impact on Arcadia, with a view to proactively identifying future technology solutions or opportunities appropriate for the organisation.
Enterprise Architecture:
• Providing architectural solutions and subsequent expertise, direction, and assistance to solution architects as required.
• Take an active role in the development of the Architecture as part of the Enterprise Architecture Chapter, to cultivate and disseminate knowledge of solution design best practices.
• Direct Solution Architects in the production of an architecture that is consistent with the overall vision for Retail.
• Represent Digital Channels in the Customer Domain Architecture Review Board.
• Engage other teams to ensure all architects are aware of the Digital Channels strategy, and have an opportunity to validate whether they are impacted.
• Work closely the Customer Domain Architect and the Retail Architect to ensure that the architecture vision for Digital is aligned with the wider enterprise vision for both Customer and Arcadia as a whole.
• Provide a deep knowledge of eCommerce, mobile and other emerging channels and their architecture patterns, acting as an informed “challenger” to ensure alternatives have been considered.
MUST HAVES
• Excellent technical skills with solid experience in many of the following areas;
• Experience in defining and delivering digital frameworks across web, mobile and stores.
• Experience of working with payment solutions.
• Experience of driving innovation and digitalising stores.
• Experience of working with IBM WebSphere Commerce and Sterling OMS.
• Experience of working within a multi-brand, multi-location environment.
• Strong experience of architecture frameworks and solution design methodologies
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Arcadia IT operates on 2 sites – Leeds and London. Although this role is primarily based in London, some travel to Leeds may be required.
