PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE:
Oversee all Origins North America Marketing and Account Management programs and business strategy. Responsible for the innovation and marketing of quality products/programs to promote beauty and a wellness lifestyle for the North America Affiliate. Work to define a strategy to further evolve the Origins brand in all channels of distribution including Department Stores, free standing Retail Stores, Specialty Multi and Online.
Identify new channels of distribution and create business models for recommendation to executive management. Drive sales and sustainable growth for the Origins Brand in these channels.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develops and recommends marketing plans to ensure the growth and expansion of the Brand in all of its various Distribution channels.
• Assumes fiscal responsibility through carefully planned and monitored budgetary guidelines and practices.
• Oversees the P & L for each channel and drive accountability to maintain the budget for in store promotions to ensure we maximize resources.
• Analyzes the marketplace in the U.S. to create marketing programs based upon consumer needs, with an awareness of general and specific socio-economic trends.
• Assures that market intelligence/competitive information is received and analyzed so that market opportunities may be seized and acted upon.
• Directs and analyzes sell through trends, category shifts, COG changes, etc. and recommends shifts in programs as needed.
• Directs overall implementation of programs orchestrating various internal and external departments to effectively meet goals.
• Direct Marketing and Account Management group in the NY office.
• Provide communication on product issues to all affected departments- Marketing, Marketing Services, Education, Sales, Consumer Relations, etc.
• Spearhead all brainstorming on products, trends, events, promotions, etc. for all channels of distribution.
• Perform category reviews and be the pulse of competitive activity by presenting in depth details to management.
• Work closely with Design, Creative Copy, Sales, Education, Product Development, Global Communications and Marketing Services to ensure maximum communication and efficiency.
• Provide guidance, in conjunction with Sales Operations, for forecasts and product allocations.
Qualifications
• Position requires 15+ year’s related experience in Marketing
• College Degree Required/ MBA preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong relationship builder
• Experience in supervising and developing a staff.
• Experience with free standing Retail Stores a plus.
• Requires an individual with an understanding of and passion for the Wellness/Health lifestyle, movement and products.
