La Mer - Digital Manager
Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Manager to join the La Mer Marketing Team reporting to the Marketing Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Digital & Social Media brand activities, and work closely with the Communications, e-commerce, product marketing and CRM teams to ensure one holistic communication plan for the brand on these platforms. As the brand’s digital expert, you will be driving the digital strategy, with emphasis on social by optimising channels, integrating innovation where relevant, as well as be responsible for the implementation of initiatives that will deepen brand engagement and advocacy.
We are looking for a highly experienced and well-rounded strategic digital marketer with a passion for innovation and the beauty industry who will take La Mer to the next level. Strong communication skills are also essential.
Key responsibilities will include:
Strategy
• As the Digital Manager you will be responsible for defining the brand’s digital strategy to optimise today and define tomorrow, delivering innovation and increasing the brand’s digital presence across the relevant channels: integrated paid/owned/earned social, programmatics, digital partnerships and non-branded search.
• Insights will drive your platform strategy and campaign targeting leveraging consumer insights via the La Mer CRM team, Estee Lauder Companies Corporate Insights functions as well as social listening tools.
• You will be accountable for the management and optimisation of digital and social budgets. Your proactive participation and input will be required to define budgets for the new fiscal years.
Cross Functional / Agency Management
• Vital to your role will be your ability to work in partnership with Online, PR (especially on the influencer angle) and Product Marketing in order to strengthen the engagement with our consumers.
• Creativity and innovation in every facet of the consumer’s journey as well as the seamless integration of La Mer’s digital & social ecosystem is what will set us apart.
• Regular communication with heads of all key departments (Marketing, PR, Sales, Education) to ensure optimal awareness of digital and social initiatives/opportunities.
• You must be a leader and a true digital expert with very strong communication and negotiation skills as you will need to be able to work with many stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Internally you will have to make sure that all stakeholders understand the strategy and support it: leveraging and managing @workplace, as well as cascading to the Field via a digital academy
• You will be a key partner to Global in sharing insights and learnings. You will be working with the Global Consumer Engagement and Global Creative Teams to ensure programmes fit with the UK strategy and local objectives.
• You will also be required to manage assets both delivered by Global and locally produced (via influencers or with internal/external suppliers).
• Building a partnership with the Media agency will be key to deliver innovative and effective digital campaigns and ensure all campaigns are optimised, delivered on time and to set KPI’s. You will be the agency’s primary contact for all new launches and refocus campaigns and will be responsible of briefs through to execution.
Social Media
• From a Social Media standpoint, you will be the main point of contact for all platforms and responsible for
• Developing La Mer UK strategy, elevating and optimizing relevant platforms. Making sure there is true integration between owned/paid/earned
• Managing the content calendar, asset management and content creation
• Work in close partnership with PR to leverage influencer locally created content & UGC
• Negotiating presence on retailer social media channels
• Defining KPIs/measurement and how La Mer engages with existing and new fans
• You will handle the community management for owned platforms in a timely manner
Analysis
• Work with media agency and implement tracking / KPI’s for all digital and social campaigns so all activity is accountable and measurable.
• Continually analyse digital performance to make ongoing adjustments and recommendations to improve ROI.
• Share results with Senior Management and Global to constantly refine campaign assets, platform usage and processes
• Continuous competitive tracking in order to continue to be in the know and inform the brand’s investments knowing what is at the forefront of digital innovation
Qualifications
Requirements
• Proofed record of successful implementation of holistic digital campaigns in diverse online channels
• In-depth knowledge, understanding and a passion for social media and trends in the social media channel
• Experience in digital content creation, incl. editorial, video as well as traffic drivers
• Excellent understanding of brand identity, tone of voice and how to communicate it to the consumer
• Analytical and numerical thinker – experience to define and work against KPI’s
• Strong technical knowledge including management of social / digital tools and creative tools such as Photoshop and/or InDesign
• Strong presentation skills
• Exceptional copy-writer
• Experienced in senior stakeholder management
• Experienced in creative and media agency management
• Understanding of and passion for the luxury and beauty industries
