Core Description:
The Amazon US Team Leader owns the delivery of Net Revenue and P&L targets of Coty`s Consumer Beauty business with Amazon US. The team leader owns the development, agreement and delivery of the joint business plan with Amazon in support of delivering the targets. The individual also owns the execution of Perfect Store On-line at Amazon, working closely with local eCom Trade Marketing for on-line sales fundamentals (`CARS`) optimization, fit-for-use e-retail content, and AMG/AMS activation. The individual is also accountable for the flawless operations with the customer, including forecasting, flawless supply meeting Amazon requirements (working with supply chain) and KPI optimization (traffic, conversion, basket, retention, profitability). Building on a deep understanding of Amazon`s business model and organization, the Amazon team leader is able to articulate the key needs of Amazon back to the broader Coty organization, as well as translate Coty`s brand/category strategies into winning Amazon plans. Last but not least, the team leader is able to commercialize our entire investments with Amazon (e.g. fundamentals, trade spend and AMS/AMG) to secure preferred vendor status, giving Coty access to full consumer journey data and optimal visibility of our brands across Amazon`s digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ownership and delivery of our targets with Amazon US
• Ownership of the full commercial relationship with Amazon US
• Own the joint business plan with Amazon with KPI`s in support of delivering the targets
• Own execution of perfect store on-line at Amazon, with support from eCom Trade Marketing
• Own operational excellence with Amazon (e.g. supply, content, listings, forecasting)
• Own Amazon trade spend budgets incl. AMS and optimize for KPI`s (traffic/conversion/basket/repeat/profit).
• Ensuring optimal commercialization of AMG investments to achieve superior brand visibility.
• Drive towards preferred vendor status with Amazon in (mass) beauty commercializing total Coty investment.
• Articulate the key needs of Amazon back to the broader business unit organization.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Amazon and NA e-Com Leader and one-up manager (Global e-Com VP).
• Manage and direct the account team (2 direct reports)
Application Pre-Requisites:
• 4 year degree; advanced degree a plus
• 5+ years prior e-commerce experience, ideally working on an Amazon business or at Amazon.
• Affinity with Beauty. Prior beauty category experience is a plus, but not a pre-requisite.
Special skills required:
• Open and accessible Leadership style, with the ability to consistently achieve positive results externally
• Comprehensive knowledge of Amazon`s business model, e-retail- and brand strategies, with the ability to apply this knowledge to drive winning, business building plans with Amazon
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to listen to understand, and to translate the company/brand strategy to Amazon and enroll the customer in support of our strategies
• Strong negotiating skills with the ability to influence up one or more levels and at top to top levels across Coty and the customer organization
• Ability to effectively resolve competing priorities for team and customer, or for the team and other functions
• Ability to work effectively within a fast paced, complex matrix and changing environment
• Ability to develop reporting staff to full potentials and to build e-commerce sales leaders for the future
• Flexibility to travel as required
