Manager, Global Visual Merchandising Operations, Smashbox
Description
Introduction:
Smashbox Cosmetics knows camera-ready beauty. Born out of Smashbox Studios in Los Angeles—the modern-day image factory where countless iconic celebrity and fashion images have been shot—we are a fast-growing, prestige cosmetics brand with domestic and international presence. Staying true to our L.A. studio roots, we are creative and trendsetting, yet laidback and accessible. As part of the Estee Lauder Companies family of brands, we will continue to grow and are seeking qualified candidates to join our exceptional team in Culver City, CA.
Summary:
This role will support the growing North America Visual Merchandising Design department for Smashbox Cosmetics from a strong visual merchandising operations, project management, logistics, and overall brand presentation perspective. This candidate will be responsible for brand’s product launches on the open sell merchandising systems for fast-growing retail accounts for Macy’s, Nordstrom, Dillard’s, and Century 21, as well as support on special projects such as custom installations and/or freestanding stores.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong sensibility for project management, and thrives as the bridge between marketing and creative departments. This position will work closely with global and North America teams to support their business objectives by planning out the launches and core support on the open sell fixture systems. Once aligned on the product launch plan, the candidate will then act as project manager for the update itself, working closely with the creative and store design team to implement the designs; managing fixture and print vendors through prototyping and approvals; and ensuring that timelines and budgets are met. This role requires a combination of strategic, analytical, and a detail-oriented approach with exceptional project management skills. The ideal candidate will have experience with SKU planning, assortments, display and graphic production, and fixture systems. The candidate will work closely with multi-functional groups such as global/regional marketing, sales, creative, vendors and retailers. The candidate is an effective communicator, able to build collaborative relationships with cross functional teams, and is a skilled multi-tasker with a “can do” attitude.
