JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Partners with Regional President and/or business leaders to identify key questions or issues facing the business and independently structures analyses to answer identified questions.
• Leads and partners with European and Global leaders to develop and execute the Strategic Business Planning process and support during the Annual Financial Planning processes.
• Champion for the Regional Strategic Business Plan and regional representative for input into the Global Strategic Business Plan.
• Partners with European Leadership Team and Global business unit teams to ensure effective leverage of insights/analyses and gain alignment against strategic objectives to enhance brand equity and maximize LS&Co. profitability.
• Ensures Market Insights works on answering key strategic questions for the region such as consumer behavior, market forces, etc.
• Leads or participates in select strategic & operational projects for LS&Co. in Europe
• Evaluates projects’ attractiveness (market/external) and feasibility (LS&Co. capabilities) by developing and executing solid, focused and reliable market and business analyses.
• Provides project management by facilitating and coordinating cross-functional teams during the diagnosis / evaluation and design/development phases up to the go/no-go decision, implementation planning phase.
• Leads the LSE Taskforce process – ensures progress and connection where interdependencies arise.
• Coordinates testing process across functions to ensure prioritization of tests and analytical rigor in test set-up and evaluation.
• Leads local, regional and/or global initiatives as part of a global team/pool, collaborating with other members of the ELT on global assignments.
EDUCATION
• University degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, an MBA is a plus
WORK EXPERIENCE
• 6-8 years’ experience preferably in consulting to senior management with emphasis on strategy, competitive analysis, market dynamics and business performance.
• Experience in developing and analyzing business strategies; participating in large-scale projects and processes across business functions.
• Retail and/or Apparel industry experience is a plus
• Experience working in a global and matrix organization is a plus
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Demonstrate gravitas and the ability to manage/influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization/cross functionally to drive participation, partnership and drive project outcomes
• Strong project management skills & ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects
• Exceptional analytical expertise/skills, including expert knowledge of MS Excel and ability to convert analyses into actionable plans
• Action-oriented ability to create opportunities or avoid future problems
• Consumer & Market Intelligence knowledge is a plus
• Hungry to learn, problem-solver and make an impact on the organization and performance
• Excellent communication, influencing skills inclusive of presentation skills and expert knowledge of MS PowerPoint
• Flexible and able to adapt to new requirements and evolve in a fast paced dynamic environment
• Mastery of English is a must (full professional fluency, written and spoken), other European languages a plus
