CONVERSE Sr. Financial Analyst - eCommerce
Description
At our Global headquarters, located in Downtown Boston, we are looking for aSenior Financial Analyst – E-Commerce.In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and driving forecasting and planning to serve both internal finance constituents as well as cross functional business partners. You will also assist in financial modeling and the creation of presentation materials, adding consistency in analysis and reporting. You will report to Senior Finance Manager, E-Commerce.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with Global GM of Digital Commerce, North America Digital Commerce leadership team, and Nike Digital Commerce leaders to drive digital financial performance and deliver timely and relevant financial analyses
• Own the weekly, monthly, annual, and long-range financial planning processes for the North America E-Commerce (direct-to-consumer) business Perform and distribute timely and insightful financial analysis to determine progress against strategic plan, budget, forecast, and to support business decisions. Actively interpret and review monthly P&L results with finance, project, and/or business partners, including trends/issues and opportunities, to drive actionable responses.
• Prepare management reporting and make recommendations on the business to the leadership team
• Participate in the strategic and business planning process from a financial perspective. Assist in the development of annual budgets that incorporate strategic business plan objectives and appropriate assumptions.
• Participate in functional discussions and initiatives across departments and provide input into business unit planning. Develop internal and external partnerships that leverage resources and improve business unit responsiveness.
• Ensure integrity of financial statements (management and statutory) in compliance with US GAAP
• Obtain an in-depth understanding of key business systems and processes with a deep understanding various reporting frameworks.
• Ad hoc requests including but not limited to: scenario analysis, Nike requests, internal updates, presentations
• Proactively keeping management informed of results, and suggest course correction actions when necessary
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 2-4 years of E-Commerce experience required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong financial acumen including extensive experience with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Interacts well with diverse network of global business partners
• Capable of working independently in a high pace environment with competing deadlines
• Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions
• Desire to drive efficiency, process improvement, and to enhance understanding of business drivers
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with SAP and Business Objects a plus
