Consumer Marketing Specialist
General Summary:This role reports to the Consumer Marketing Director and serves on the team that is responsible for the seasonal campaign development and execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Intraseason campaign development & execution
• Bring seasonal marketing strategies to life through the development of effective intraseason marketing campaigns and plans
• Clearly communicate intraseason plans & tactics to key stakeholders (marketing, merchants and planning) through compelling marketing briefs that include customer mindsets, strategy and product direction
• Contribute innovative ideas to differentiate customer-facing messaging that create awareness, drive to our KPI’s and generally move the business forward
Business optimization & midcourse corrections
• Lead midcourse corrections through decisive, clear and timely communication and support
Product strategy and process
• Develop campaign stories based on product strategy and confirms execution ladders back to the overall strategy
• Confirm campaign support execution by verifying product availability, sales plans, depth, allocation, etc.
• Ensures efficient and effective handoffs between Marketing and Merchandising
• Leads product oversite for key items and vendor requirements
Required Skills and Competencies:
• Demonstrated understanding of retail and consumer marketing
• High level of critical thinking ability and curiosity, particularly in balancing multiple projects and priorities
• Collaborative leader, able to rally cross-functional team members to work effectively and efficiently together
• Independent thinker; resourceful approach to getting things done
• Strong relationship development and written/verbal communication skills
Experience:
• 2+ years of experience in Marketing, preferably for retail or agency
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field
