General Description
The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for the creation of all online visual design, including typography, visual concept, and branding. They effectively communicate and coordinate with the information architect, writer and production artists to ensure that the visual design communicates the desired message, and functions successfully for varying technical and performance specifications. The candidate must be capable of leading the creative aspects of a project and have demonstrated strong business acumen.
Performance Requirements
• Responsible for conceptualization and implementation of design of solutions that meet marketing strategies from concept to completion.
• Concept, contribute and assist in executing fully integrated, dynamic seasonal campaigns that align with fashion, the apparel business, and the promotional calendar
• Integrate a concept or brand idea into different channels, while maintaining that it is an effective solution for that media.
• Work as lead designer/part of a team to develop and contribute concepts based on set marketing criteria and strategy.
• Conduct competitive research to develop relevant graphics, type and layouts
• Problem-solve so that each design project is not seen in isolation, but rather, as part of the ‘bigger picture' in a creative or advertising campaign
• Meeting preparation and presentation development
• Conduct meetings for conceptual hand off
Requirements
• 5+ years’ experience in Marketing, with specific experience in fashion oriented art design and magazine preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work with tight deadlines and deliverables.
• Demonstrated ability to take a project from concept to production.
• Ability to develop and direct business strategy through design projects.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task, be proactive and collaborate with marketing teams and cross functional partners.
• Proficient with MAC and Adobe Creative Suite software.
• Strong design skills and experience in catalog and direct mail layout.
• Photo shoot experience, both on-model and tabletop preferred.
• In-store visual marketing and point-of-sale design experience preferred.
