Levi Strauss & Co is seeking a Senior Public Relations Manager. The Senior PR Manager, will play a key role in Levi’s annual and seasonal PR stories, strategies and execution to help grow brand awareness, strengthen brand and product credibility among media and key influencers. This position reports to the Director of US PR and is part of the brand marketing team.
Key Results:
Position Levi’s® as an iconic brand and fashion leader by developing strategies, strong media relationships and tactics that further this objective; Ensure inclusion of Levi’s® brand and products in US fashion and lifestyle media (print, online, broadcast, social, etc.)
Responsibilities:
• Play a key role in developing and implementing the Levi’s Brand annual and seasonal PR plans
• Partner with PR agency to develop and execute public relations plans for Levi’s– including, but not limited to managing media interviews, product/sample/image requests, and managing & executing PR / influencer events
• Manage the development of key press materials including press releases, media alerts, and talking points in partnership with the Levi’s Gobal PR Team & PR Agency
• Ensure alignment, integration and hind sighting with cross-functional partners
• Partner with PR Agency to develop and continuously improve reporting and sharing results with an emphasis on tying to metrics
• Budget management
• Help lead the US team by developing and cascading strategies and tactics for Men’s, Women’s and Collections in the Levi’s brand
• Manage the creation of department presentations and product launch strategies
• Manage developing PR Tool Kits and ensuring the accuracy of all information (availability, roll out dates, pricing, etc.).
• Manage and Lead programs and/or projects supporting seasonal product objectives, product launches, marketing initiatives, social media strategies. Including, but not limited to, sample product ordering/distribution, liasing with outside partners to develop cohesive PR Tool Kits, product seeding, launch events, etc.
• Manage relationships with external partners in media, corporate & fashion industries to maximize brand presence marketing/pr opportunities
• Manage Press activities for store openings, collaborations and marketing initiatives
• Oversee the operational aspects of both women’s editorial and women’s fashion media outreach including seeding and publicity efforts executed by the NYC showroom
• Secure leading fashion editorial coverage in a wide range of titles to include national, regional, online, broadcast news outlets
• Lead the coordination and execution of all press events specifically in NY; Events specific to seasonal product objectives, product launches, marketing initiatives, social media strategies.
Skills & Experience
• Bachelors Degree required
• 6-8 years of experience in Public Relations and Brand Marketing
• Born storyteller: Superior writing and communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively, setting and meeting deadlines while maintaining quality of work
• Results driven, analytical thinker
• Self-motivator with a highly collaborative spirit
• Previous experience in fashion/apparel/retail preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Social Media
• Outstanding collaboration and project management skills, including demonstrated track record in managing complex projects across functional lines
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Demonstrated leadership abilities
• High level of ownership, accountability, initiative and drive
• Experience in budget planning and management
• Quick learner and resourceful; able to prioritize effectively
• Comfortable with operating in a fast-paced environment and dealing with ambiguity.
