Overview
The Sr Print Designer will contribute to creating the Print trend, direction , and original artworks relative to the seasonal concepts and appropriate for the Urban customer

Responsibilities
• Initiate and complete line plan requirements on a seasonal basis ensuring that the product is consistent with the market trends and business strategy
• Research emerging trends and inspiration as they relate to the Urban Outfitters (UO) product
• Collaborate with the Design Director to develop conceptual direction for the total product assortment
• Contribute to sourcing artworks based upon the concept direction and budgetary guidelines
• Design original artworks and layouts (placed, engineered, repeat, etc..) appropriate for the concept direction and iconic to the UO brand
• Manage the Print team from the artwork development process to final approval.
• Supervise the daily workflow and weekly deadlines of the Print team. Collaborate with the Design Coordinator and PD team to manage lead-time and ensure calendar deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with the Design Coordinator and partners in PD on the technical execution of prints
• Color prints according to the trends and seasonal color palettes
• Review development samples and strike-offs for approval
• Present samples and print developments for merchant review at Finalization Meetings
• Develop, train, and lead the Assistant, Associate and Design level designers
• Attend seasonal benchmark meetings as specified
Qualifications
• Highly creative with the ability to recognize and forecast fashion and cultural trends as they relate to the UO customer
• Technical knowledge of print and dye techniques as well as industry print manufacturing processes
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
• Energetic team player with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with partners in Design, Buying, PD, and Production
• Expert hand-painting skills and color sense
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Must have 5+ years experience in Textile Design or related field
