MISSION
This individual oversees a team of multichannel project and production managers and works in close partnership with creative and marketing leadership and ecommerce on the organization and execution of Tommy Bahama creative projects, including print and digital photo shoots. This is a people-oriented job, involving development of high-level processes for creative projects. It also involves working with internal and external clients and understanding client needs. The incumbent is responsible for continuously evolving and adjusting our processes to deliver relevant, compelling and consistent guest messages, on time and on brand.
KEY RESULTS AREAS
• Lead, inspire and oversee Creative Projects team of project and production managers (direct and indirect).
• Oversee and manage logistical set up for each Tommy Bahama photo production including talent, pre/post production.
• Define process in order to better prioritize planning across businesses and through an omni-channel strategy.
• Manage vendor relationships with photographers, producers, models, photo studio, and other logistical pieces that may be required from time to time in order to ensure that each shoot is organized, planned and efficiently executed, both on time and on budget.
• Partner with business and creative channel leadership to ensure that samples, key looks, schedules, and deliverables are complete, available, and accounted for.
• Create, manage and maintain annual photography budgets and ensure shoots are in line with planned expenditures.
• Ensure that contracts are in place for models, rights to photos, insurance and permits. This includes partnering with internal resources and samples so that expected product is available and ready.
• Manage compliance with style guidelines as appropriate.
• Negotiate, as appropriate, competitive rates for models, hair stylist, makeup-up artists, fashion stylist, prop stylists, photographers, studios. Develop and keep photo shoot and deliverable calendar(s) current.
• Prepare purchase orders and review and approve relevant invoices from photo shoots,
• Work within the organization’s processes and procedures, including working with the legal department on all aspects that require legal review and input.
• Continuously review schedules, calendars and budgets to ensure we capture lessons learned from each shoot and share results with senior leadership as appropriate.
EXPERIENCE, TALENT AND EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or equivalent required.
• Generally, 10+ years’ experience in marketing with at least 5 years of experience in photo production ideally in fashion, magazine or agency environment.
• Outstanding project planning and management skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent understanding of the Tommy Bahama approach and image.
• Excellent understanding of photography process and product delivery and photo shoot. calendars within the Tommy Bahama environment.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Strong eye for detail.
