Job Description
POSITION TITLE: Account Executive
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Account Executive is responsible for sales and account growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Achieve established shipment and allowance goals set by sales manager. Goals will be tied into the company goals. Establish sales plans that allow Account Executives to meet shipment and allowance goals
Negotiate/develop annual sales and stock plans with retailers. Make recommendations based on trend and opportunity. Constantly review results and plans. Work with buyer and analyst to determine sales and stock ratios. Present additional needs based on analysis. Establish realistic turn and markdown expectations to ensure maximum profitability for store and GUESS.
Analyze bookings to reflect proper assortments by store and classification. Should be maximizing key trends. Review order bookings for current and future months. Ensure orders reflect the strongest selling washes, styles and trends. Review on order by store to ensure store opportunities are being maximized. Use monthly stock and sales report to analyze.
Establish basic model stocks and accurately forecast future needs based on trend, history and opportunity within 10% of forecast. Utilize product recaps for historical information to help establish model stocks. Use six month plans to establish model stocks.
Present product lines to customers that best represent trend and the vision of the company. Plan and direct presentation of product lines during market. Develop matrix with buyer and analyst to maximize sales.
Work closely with coordinators to ensure the needs of the stores are being met. Weekly review of store visit reports. Weekly calls with coordinators. Devise an action plan to resolve any issues and opportunities.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 2-4 Years
