Job Description:
As the Global Digital Content Director, you will hire and lead a team to develop and execute a holistic, digitally led go-to-market content strategy for Converse. You will set the strategy to deliver best-in-class and effective selling tools across the integrated marketplace. Bring to life globally-aligned geography brand x product seasonal stories, creating on-strategy content for our strategic wholesale partners and Converse.net. Working across four Converse geographies, you’ll leverage partnerships, the GTM Gameplan 2.0 process map, and a team, to execute. You and your team will deliver brand-right copy, photography, videography, and other sales tools.
Accountability:Develop Aligned Seasonal Strategy (35%). Each season, develop, plan, and execute the content strategy across all four geographies. Identify seasonal stories and key styles. Partner with the brand team to ensure a consistent brand experience throughout all content. Partner with global and geography cross-functional teams to ensure we are telling a holistic and seamless digital content story to the Converse consumer across all channels of retail, owned and wholesale.
Drive Content Creation (30%). Provide direction for seasonal digital tool focus (identify seasonal stories, key styles). Oversee creation and delivery of assets that can be leveraged across all four Converse geographies. Provide leadership and direction for content creation across product tech sheets, PDP, brand imagery, and social. Ensure effective and compelling content creation for the Converse.net platform. Lead translation across all four geographies.
Team Leadership (20%). Establish and lead a team of copywriters, seasonal producers, and operational experts. Set the strategy for the function, develop roles and a set of clearly outlined responsibilities. Build the bench by hiring, and developing, a best-in-class team. You and your team will develop strong x-functional, and x-brand (with Nike), partnerships to maximize your influence and support across the organization.
Process Excellence (15%). Develop digital content creation strategic 1 & 3-yr plans. Establish processes from concept to delivery, aligned to the GTM Gameplan. Communicate process to x-functional partners and provide training. Ensure seasonal content delivery is managed on-time and on-budget.
Qualifications
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Sales, Marketing or a related field
• 5+ years' experience in Sales, Sales Operations, Retail, Marketplace Management, and/or Planning for a multi-store retailer or wholesaler; 2 years' additional experience in lieu of a degree
• Strong understanding of the global markets, customers, and retail trends
• Proven leadership experience
• An entrepreneurial mindset
• Creative thinking and problem solving
• Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization
• Experience managing projects and budgets
• Knowledge of Converse's global marketplace
• Strong networking skills
• High technical skills/aptitude (excel, database, digital images, marketing, etc)
