About the Role:
As Creative Assistant, you play a vital role in the creative operations of the company by supporting our Executive Creative Director and co-founder. You will be critical in helping our co-founder make the most productive use of her time, to strategize on key initiatives and make action plans to accomplish goals, foresee and solve problems, prepare her for speaking engagements and press interviews, work with her to develop social media schedules, and overall support her in being best possible leader she can be. You also serve an important organizational role in creative culture, overseeing the creative department meetings and facilitating team activities. Lastly, your role connects our creative leader to the industry through internal and external communication, events, and relationship management. You are her thought-partner and her secret weapon!

What you'll do:
• Partner with ECD/co-founder to manage priorities, schedule, and move projects forward
• Establish productive relationships with other assistants and R29 executives to work as collaboratively as possible
• Ensure priorities are managed; daily and long-term requests are addressed
• Develop social media schedule and strategy (helping to draft & schedule posts)
• Thought partner to ECD/co-founder, helping her to brainstorm and prepare for projects and speaking engagements and interviews, including research, ideation, and concept development
• Proactively manage both personal and professional calendars
• Manage meeting logistics including booking and preparing rooms, creating and preparing necessary materials, organizing catering, providing conference call details, taking notes, and welcoming external guests
• Manage and submit monthly expense reports
• Coordinate international and domestic travel logistics including flight itineraries, hotel rates and reservations, car services, and international phone plans in accordance with personal travel preferences
• Conceive and organize internal events
• Create presentations and meeting materials
• Execute day-to-day administrative tasks including placing lunch orders, arranging deliveries, updating contacts, conducting research
• Provide additional support for Refinery29's Creative and Brand Leadership
What you have:
• Bachelor's Degree
• 2+ years of Executive Assistant - bonus points for working at "rapid growth" companies!
• Positive, intuitive/proactive, and collaborative team player
• Cultural awareness of identity politics, feminism, cultural trends, and current events
• Passion for & awareness of contemporary creative culture
• Must be a highly organized and solutions-driven go-getter with ability to see the big picture and pay attention to detail, handle multiple priorities at once, manage time effectively, and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management skills and ability to balance multiple projects and tasks, both short and long term
• Superior judgment and discretion
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including occasional weekends and holidays
• Proficiency in Keynote, Google Calendar, Squarespace, Instagram, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive
