Description
The Senior Director, Global Digital Commerce Partnerships will lead and shape Nike’s presence in the digital commerce marketplace with strategic partners – current and new. This role will manage a team around the world and will report into the VP of Global Marketplace Development.
Responsibilities:
Visioning, Strategy Development and Best Practices
• Define strategies to enable future growth with current and future digital commerce partners through Nike strategic planning process. Focus on serving consumers, building the brand, and creating healthy growth.
• Develop and oversee a strategy that segments and differentiates the digital marketplace around the world.
• Innovate new business models (financial, operational, technological) to create growth and mutual profitability with current and future partners.
• Share best practices both internal to Nike as well as industry/marketplace trends to enable learning and rapid iteration.
Strategic Partnership Development and Support
• Develop a POV in partnership with Geographies, Territories and Cities on new digital entrants for partnership including marketplaces, digital retailers, and omnichannel partners.
• Support Geography, Territory and City teams to evaluate and develop relationships with strategic partners.
• Drive organizational alignment and decision making. Create a forum for fast and thoughtful decision making.
Digital Marketplace Management
• Develop a plan for managing the digital marketplace to ensure the right consumer experience in world’s largest digital marketplaces.
• Innovate new ways to more efficiently track and monitor products throughout the digital ecosystem.
Planning and Analytics / Consumer knowledge
• With our analytics teams, co-develop robust tools and capabilities to measure and evaluate the impact & performance of partnerships (ie. consumers, sell through, marketplace impact etc.)
Operations, Supply Chain & Fulfillment Models
• Innovate and establish new models of integration with partners to ensure consumers have easy and fast access to Nike’s products.
• Collaborate with Nike operations and supply chain to deliver for partners’ operational requirements minimizing costs and maximize service levels for consumers.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 15 yrs relevant work experience in digital commerce, athletic and/or consumer products industries with key experience in Retail (multi-channel/Digital)
• Bachelor’s degree (or add’l work experience in lieu of degree)
• Strong proven abilities managing and implementing retail programs, policies, procedures, and methodologies
• Demonstrates strong capabilities in stakeholder/matrix management across Global and Geo
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with ability to clearly articulate goals/objectives/vision
• Ability to champion needs cross functionally and influence where necessary (across various levels of the organization)
• Ability to lead teams, both direct and indirect and drive functional leadership
• Forecasts resource needs and manages budgets
